NSZB Fun Food Hire – Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all bookings made with NSZB Fun Food Hire.By paying a deposit or confirming a booking, you (“the Customer”) confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms in full.
1. Booking & Payment
● A deposit of 50% of the total booking value is required to secure your event date.
● A booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.
● The remaining balance must be paid on the event date before our staff leave the
venue, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
● Payment may be made by bank transfer or cash.
● The deposit represents a genuine pre-estimate of loss, including administrative time,
stock preparation, staffing allocation and reservation of the event date.
● As this booking relates to leisure catering services for a specific date, the statutory
14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply.
2. Guest Numbers
● The Customer must provide an estimated guest count at the time of booking.
● Any significant increase in guest numbers (more than 10%) must be notified at least
7 days before the event and may result in additional charges.
● We prepare stock and staffing levels based on the guest numbers provided. We
cannot guarantee sufficient stock if numbers increase without notice.
3. Cancellations
● All cancellations must be made in writing (email or text message).
● If the Customer cancels:
More than 14 days before the event: the deposit will be refunded .
● 7–14 days before the event: Deposit not refundable
● Less than 7 days before the event: 100% of the booking value is payable.
● Cancellation charges reflect losses incurred including staffing commitments, stock purchasing, preparation time and loss of booking opportunity.
● In the rare event that we need to cancel due to illness, equipment failure, or
- unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a full refund of all monies paid.
4. Hire Duration, Setup & Access
● Hire time begins and ends as stated in your booking confirmation.
● We require reasonable access to the venue at least 30–60 minutes before the agreed start time for setup.
● The Customer must ensure suitable space, safe access, parking and an appropriate electricity supply are available.
● If access is delayed due to the Customer, guests or venue (including parking restrictions, stairs, restricted entry or unavailable power), hire time will run from the agreed start time and will not be extended or refunded.
● If we are unable to operate due to failure by the Customer or venue to provide suitable access, space or power, the booking remains chargeable.
5. Staffed Hire Policy
● All equipment is operated by our trained staff unless a dry-hire option has been agreed in writing.
● Customers and guests must not attempt to use, move, adjust or interfere with any equipment.
● We reserve the right to pause or stop service if safety, equipment, power supply, venue restrictions or environmental conditions are unsuitable.
● We reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive guests.
6. Safety, Power & Liability
● All equipment is regularly serviced and PAT tested where required.
● We hold Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million.
● The Customer is responsible for providing a safe and suitable power supply near the setup location.
● We are not responsible for power failure, overloaded circuits, tripped electrics or venue-related electrical issues.
● Where service cannot proceed due to power or venue issues beyond our control, and suitable facilities have not been provided, the booking remains chargeable.
● The Customer is responsible for ensuring children are supervised by a responsible adult at all times near equipment.
● We shall not be liable for:
- Accidents or injuries resulting from misuse or failure to follow staff instructions
- Damage caused by guests, overcrowding or unsafe behaviour
- Losses arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
7. Food, Allergens & Fair Usage
● Food products may contain allergens including but not limited to gluten (wheat), dairy, eggs, soy and mustard.
● Allergen information is provided prior to booking.
● We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
● Guests with severe allergies consume products at their own risk.
Unlimited Packages – Fair Usage Policy
● “Unlimited” packages are provided on a fair usage basis during the agreed hire period.
● Unlimited service is based on approximately 1–2 servings per guest.
● We reserve the right to apply portion control or limit servings where there is excessive wastage or unreasonable consumption.
8. Damage & Cleaning
● The Customer is responsible for any damage caused to equipment due to negligence, misuse or interference by guests.
● Repair or replacement costs will be invoiced following the event where damage occurs.
● Deliberate damage, vandalism or contamination may incur additional charges.
9. Outdoor Events & Weather
● For outdoor events, the Customer must provide a level, sheltered area (e.g. gazebo, marquee or covered stall) with access to electricity.
● We reserve the right to refuse setup or cease operation where weather conditions (including rain or strong winds) make it unsafe.
● If the event cannot proceed due to unsafe weather and suitable shelter has not been provided, no refund will be given.
10. Photography & Promotion
● We may take photographs of our equipment setup for promotional use.
● We do not take close-up photographs of guests without consent.
● If you do not wish photographs to be used, you must notify us in writing before your event.
11. Force Majeure
We shall not be responsible for failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, road traffic incidents, power failures, illness, government restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.
12. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales after both parties have attempted to resolve the matter amicably.
